In Inbox, checkbox can be added adjacent to every message

Posted by sviswanath to Design, 4 Jul 09 at 07:37

In Inbox or any other mail folders, check boxes can be added adjacent to every message. It would make users to easily select messages and perform action like delete or move in one stroke. Currently we are able to perform this functions by ctrl and shift keys. Still this feature would enhance the user experience.

I like the fact that there are no checkboxes. Makes the look and feel of GMX different than other mail providers.
If you do decide to add this feature, can it be made optional?

I completely agree with "ano", I would like also to mention that the reading pane to be optional, sometimes clicking on spam emails confirms that the email is genuine and encourages more spam. So deleting the email without using the check box is a very useful tool to avoid more spam

I think that emad.ramzy is onto something. Maybe a way to minimize spam is to stop the email address confirming it is genuine.
