Posted by Innovation to Settings, 22 May 09 at 20:57

I really think it is about time that GMX allowed us to copy and cut text by left clicking with the mouse.

I also would like to see copy and paste as a Councillor. I often have to print off a message or part of it. Please add this facillity for us?

Cutting & pasting I use all this feature all the time ! I am mulitasking ! Also I need to have all my other emails accounts mail forwarded to this account.

Both the mouse right click functions and the universal spell check do not work within the body of a message being written. I frequently write my text in a word processor and then paste it into the message box with Crtl v; but, it would sure be nice if this worked the same way it does with other programs.

I would prefer doing it by right clicking with the mouse. Using the browser Edit > Copy & Edit > Paste isn't that hard, though.

It's worth being clear here. This has works with GMX Mail in IE and has done for sometime. It doesn't work in Firefox, due to the restrictions it imposes.

bradavon 29 Jun 09 at 16:48

If you use Firefox, the current solution is:

Ctrl + C - Copy
Ctrl + X - Cut
Ctrl + V - Paste

These work in any web browser. Personally I'm not voting for this as prefer shortcut keys anyway.

Cut & paste would be a fine idea

Like everyone else, I agree with cut and paste. Cut and paste is absolutely something you can live without. So I'm trying to copy an email address but GMX will not let me. At this point I'm really puzzle after trying for about 5 minutes. Instead, I end up writing down the email address which is absolutely long with letter and numbers. So GMX please do us justice! Please add cut and paste!!!! :)

To Bradavon, thanks for the pointer!!

from all other e-mail providers I can copy an e-mail that I sent, then paste it to a new e-mail that I will send the same text This helps users NOT to write the same text many times for many receivers. That saves time and ....money..

Aamina Jabbar 17 Jul 09 at 15:06

copy and paste option should be available as you are able to do this on all other emails!!!

littlebigdunc 11 Aug 09 at 00:16

I would prefer doing it by right clicking with the mouse. but ctrl+c and ctrl + v, works well

breeze 14 Aug 09 at 21:12

ditto,
I find it very frustrating when attempting to cut and paste an address etc.

methuzla 19 Aug 09 at 21:29

This carp goes back to the ancient days of beta.
ctl~c, ctl~v is o.k. but a feature would be better & likely more secure.

Aamina Jabbar 31 Aug 09 at 13:09

u can copy and paste.
to copy u highlite text and press Ctrl and C
and to paste text press Ctrl and V

magpie 26 Sep 09 at 02:37

yes i agree with copy and paste, i was trying to do it, and couldn't understand why it wouldn't happen so YES i would LOVE to be able to do that,

RotW 7 Oct 09 at 20:29

not having this feature is most annoying and also a deal-breaker for me.

emme 31 Oct 09 at 09:25

Not being able to cut and paste into a new email is really annoying and I'm debating whether it's worth it to keep my gmx account open, since I need to be able to do this on a regular basis and I've been using another email service while waiting for gmx to add this feature.

lol

rhythman69uk 13 Nov 09 at 13:09

Copy/Paste/Cut/Undo can all be accessed by using the keyboard controls, but this is clumsy and there should be working buttons on which you click. GMX has them, but they don't work!

rhythman69uk 13 Nov 09 at 13:10

Ctrl + Z = Undo

lukeyboy 23 Nov 09 at 16:30

hi - this has been under implementation since may but still hasn't happened how long before we can cut and paste?

marc.carne@gmx.com 22 Mar 10 at 09:15

And so? When will this be (finally) implemented?

hello 29 Mar 10 at 16:14

this for security reason
