Colour-Themes

I would welcome a greater choice of colour with mine being green , silver. One persons dull however may well be anothers first choice.

In GMX's defense... How-on-earth is your email experience drastically enhanced because all of a sudden the bar on top is green or red etc. I can't believe this got 89 votes.

Functionelle? Performance? Security? Nah, let splash some colour around...

Please add new color themes if you can. The color choices right now are great, but some of us want other colors that expresses ouselves.

I hope this one is put at the very bottom of the priorities. GMX has limited resources to make changes to a very carefully designed product and I would hate to think that one or more engineers are assigned to something as trivial as changing colors on the screen.

But I am not surprised that this is so popular. The cell phone companies are making a fortune selling replaceable faceplates to suckers who want different colored cellphones. I say if they will pay for it, then go ahead and provide it.

The same should be true for GMX. If you want something as trivial and non-functional as "non-dull colors" then you should have to pay a few bucks per month for that option.

This is also a good way to measure how badly you want the feature.

It would make it more personal if it had more colours to choose from that looked awesome. If its possible you should have some sort of background chooser, so you can use you own photos to personalize it even more. But I also agree with some other users, its not a necessity to have this, but it would be pretty awesome.

never mind colours, when will date format function be implemented?

You say there should be a black colour mate, but as you will have already been told, there is a black colour to choose from. I expect you meant Deep Bloody Crimson, or Electric Blue Flake or even A cascading waterfall of Purple and Pink Droplets. Or my favorite, grey!!

Why not only add more color schemas (+1silver i do like as well) but also add the option to add a custom schema from a jpg or gif. You can try it out by setting requirements to a manageable resolution or size for the pic. Something really small cause I agree from the other comments that resources should focus more on the email functionality vs. some style. But then again everyone like to express themselves so....

Lower priority, but would be a good FMR in my opinion. Users should have the option to select a few different types of themes other than the default.

Alongside colour schemes, being able to upload your own banner/background picture (like Windows Live Messenger) would be a good idea

Not only colors, but themes such as outdoors, sports, etc, the e-mail background is not so appealing.

Some people, like me like colors. The three color themes that are available now are Ok for me, but more choice can't hurt. What would also be nice, is if you could set the type of letter and color you would like to write your email in, i.o. having to set that everytime again like now. Also, the signature is only in black. Would be nice to pick a specific letter type and color for that too.

Yeah, some more nice colours would be nice. And maybe some themes, not just colours but things like stars etc...?

Come on, these colours are dull as hell. Black/Blue are the only ones I'd pick. Silver is empty, mundane and boring, and pink... A refreshing change isn't that much to ask.

I care about appearance. Wouldn't intentionally buy & wear clothes I thought were ugly and dull, and of course I comb my hair before I go out. Perhaps not as much when it comes to email, because I think presentation is important for many reasons. I don't think I have to go through them because they are quite obvious, but a choice won't even harm a fly.

More color schemes would indeed be nice. What about the possibility to set your favorite font and color to type your messages, like with Outlook and the addition of using different signatures?
