Instead of the colour themes, have a library of skins, which the public can add to, similar to 'Personas' for Firefox. [....]

Login page Posted by ArianaD to Design, 24 Apr 09 at 14:30
When you go to the gmx.com log in page, it would be reeeaallly handy to have the curser already flashing and ready to go, in the white 'email address' bar (see hotmail login page). This would just speed things up because you wouldn't need to click in it first.

Every time you click Organizer, File Storage, Forum, or Brainstorm it opens in a new browser window. Can you set it so it will open a new tab instead? [....]

Remove the lady on the splash screen Posted by ano to Design, 10 Jul 11 at 20:06
Please just remove the lady with the butterflies. It is meaningless and somewhat distasteful. A nice 3D logo or something would just get you more users, seriously!

And also change the tagline "the free webmail you've been waiting for," it sounds like you're selling two for one milk cartons. We know it's free, and we like that, but it doesn't need to be emphasized this much.

I like the second line, though "Advance. Savvy. Different." Maybe you should bump that up to the headline. [....]

Username instead of E-mail for Log in Posted by glennhodgson to Design, 28 Sep 09 at 15:57
It's just a little more cumbersome to have to type "username@gmx.com" every time I need to log in. It would be much more convenient to just drop the "@gmx.com" and type "username" instead. Thanks! [....]

it would be easy to login if only the username is to type and not the whole e-mail address because the (@gmx.com) is to everyone the same. [....]

Add a Show/Hide or Splitter to Shrink GMX title bar Posted by jamesklett to Design, 11 Aug 09 at 16:35
At the top of the GMX Email Window is a large BLACK band with "GMX" on the left. This bar takes up a lot of Vertical space that could be used for viewing more emails and readin more email text. Simply add a SPLITTER or a SHOW/HIDE button to 'roll it up' or hide it makeing the email space larger. [....]

Reduce/Move MAIL COLLECTOR on left panel. Posted by Xbox to Design, 16 Aug 09 at 18:00
The MAIL COLLECTOR (advert) prevents us from having several expanded sub-solders for incoming mail. It's already a tiny space, and the MAIL COLLECTOR (advert) on the left is hogging all the space right in the middle of all sub-folders.

Please move it to the TOP blue border area (or near SETTINGS tab) or a tab similar to ADDRESSBOOK tabs, so we get more room for folders.

Thanks. [....]

Custom Theme designer Posted by luka.dadiani@gmx.com to Design, 15 Apr 09 at 23:51
It would be great if one could design his/her own theme and than use it or eve better to publish it on-line for all the people to see. I would like the theme designer to be good looking with a lot of ajax/whatever effect, an image upload utility, maybe a Photoshop template that you could edit and upload to the server, it would also be great to see some common tools such as the pen tool and layers in the designer, if that is not possible you could partner with someone like pixelr.com and use their image editor as the [....]

Use custom background on the front page of the email Posted by du.schultz to Design, 14 May 11 at 07:22
I was thinking, could have an option of uploading an image User self to use as a theme. Few subjects are available, it would be interesting to customize the background pattern to our taste! Thanks [....]
